Did you verify whether this issue has already been reported here?
_Yes
Tell us about the problem
It's often impossible to read console output. Display jumps all around, or jitters in place. (Reading saved logs is no help, as what's saved is completely different.) (Also, attempting to copy output to clipboard gets inconsistent results).
Which platform(s) does the issue occur on?
_iOS _Windows
Provide the following version numbers that the issue occurs with:
- NativeScript Sidekick: 1.19.2-v.2019.11.18.2
- NativeScript CLI: 6.2.2
- CLI extension nativescript-cloud: 1.19.3
- CLI extension nativescript-starter-kits: 0.3.5
How to obtain this information is explained in the Gather information about your development environment section.
Tell us how to recreate the issue in as much detail as possible
- Start the application ..
- Get an app running on a connected device. (App has non-trivial console output, such as Firebase produces).
- Click the "Device Console" tab.
- Observe that console output cannot be read while device is connected and generating constant output. (e.g. as Firebase does.) Trying to scroll through will result in display bouncing around through logs, skipping large sections, or sometimes jittery output of same section.
Does this issue happen every time?
_Yes (When output is sufficiently complex).
Send the client logs
How to obtain the Sidekick logs is explained in the Access the NativeScript Sidekick logs section. To share them with us, you can create a gist with the app logs and send the produced link.
