Exercise 3.1.1 has changed from the 3rd to the 4th edition
Just a minor inconsistency:
These are my notes on the books Analysis I and Analysis II, 4th edition, written by Terence Tao.
It appears that the current note addresses Exercise 3.1.1 of the 3rd edition, but this exercise has since completely changed to a different one in the 4th edition.
Namely, in the 3rd edition:
Exercise 3.1.1. Show that the definition of equality in Definition 3.1.4 is reflexive, symmetric, and transitive.
whereas in the 4th edition:
Exercise 3.1.1 Let a,b,c,d be objects such that {a,b} = {c,d}. Show that at least one of the two statements “a = c and b = d” and “a = d and b= c” hold.
