Android box with .db file
Thanks for your file! The good news is that the format looks straight forward to implement. The bad news is that currently I don't have any time to work on ChanSort and it will take at least two months before I can start working on it.

Hi gitntel! The format of your Hisilicon "service.db" is completely different from the "Amlogic" amdb... format and must be handled separately. Please create a new "issue" for it. Unfortunately my time is very limited at the moment and the time I have I prioritize to work on formats used by TVs rather than set-top-boxes.
unfortunately not. I am currently working pretty much around the clock on my business projects and there is no time to analyze new data formats and implement them into ChanSort. It is still on my radar, but I can't tell when I finally have the time for it

Hi Horst, Hope you're doing well.
Thank you for adding this file, it opened with the application with no problem. However, there's an issue regarding different satellites, it just combined them into one satellite.
It works normally with other file formats and categorizes the satellites.

@AE-Ismail The two channel lists provided to me by mostafasalah7 and Waleedalgamal are the only ones I have. In both lists channel numbers are separated by TV, Radio and Data (meaning they can start at 1 for each of these) but not separated by satellites (meaning channels from all satellites are already mixed in the existing list).
I can't change the way the TV/STB firmware works and have to organize channels in the exact same way. TV, Radio and Data must be kept as individual lists which can start at 1 and all satellite channels must be kept together so that there are not multiple conflicting sat channels with the same program number, which would otherwise happen (with a #1 for each satellite).
EDIT: If you also have files in this format, you can send them to me. Maybe I get better insights with additional data. I have to admit that there are some things that seem odd with the current version.
EDIT 2: Could anyone of you explain to me how the channels are organized on the TV itself? Do you have to select a satellite first and then each satellite starts with a 1? Are TV and Radio channels on a given satellite in the same list or do you also have to switch between TV and Radio and both start at 1?

Yes we have satallite select And each one start from 1 to end of it self And same way at radio channels

Thanks for your files, these help a lot. So at first you select between TV and Radio. And then you can select which satellite. And each of the 4 lists start at 1 (TV HotBird, TV Eutelsat, Radio HotBird, Radio Eutelsat) ?

It's impossible to add channels. The tuner needs a LOT of extra data that it's impossible for me or any user to know and enter. And on top of that it's completely different for the dozens of file formats supported by ChanSort.
To add support for channel lists, I need sample files and some information about how the favorites work with the TV's menu. This is something that can be very different from device to device. Some only allow tagging a channel as a favorite and the order is the same as in the normal list, other devices allow completely independent ordering/numbering of channels inside a channel list. Some allow mixing of channels from all sources (antenna, cable, satellites) within a single list, others have separate lists per source. Some have radio channels in a separate list, other combine radio and TV ...
So I'd need a sample list where you add some TV channels and radio channels from different satellites to FAV1, some other to FAV2 and tell me which ones these are. Hopefully I can then get an idea about how this device organizes favorite lists.
