ChanSort not compatible with Philips 42PFL3208K/12 ?
So I can export the channel list on the device and load it into ChanSort and save it again.
When I want to copy the whole thing back to the TV, nothing works.
The loading itself is still confirmed then there it says "In Processing" and it happens nothing more. Several times tried more than 10 minutes waited what can not be with 128 kb file.
Does anyone have experience that it has worked before?
Can you please send me your channel list? Philips has dozens of different file formats and I have no information on what format is used by what model (and what firmware versions). A few general things to note about Philips lists:
- if a firmware update was installed AFTER the channels were searched, the list may not be imported properly. It might be necessary to reset the TV, search the channels and then export/edit/import the list. You can however keep a copy of an initial export around and use it as a "template" for sorting the newer list.
- the TV must be rebooted or unplugged after importing the list. Putting it in stand-by and turning it on is not sufficient.
- the channel search such be provider neutral and not based on a specific country, provider (Astra, Sky, UPC, ...)
- options like "automatic channel update" must be disabled, otherwise DVB-C/T may override your channel numbers with presets
Point 1: No, I have not carried out a firmware update for a long time.
Point 2: I had disconnected the device completely from the power supply.
Point 3: "channel search such as be provider neutral". I'm not sure I fully understand this. I think I did a normal automatic scan for everything on the Vodafon cable network.
Point 4: "automatic channel update" was switched on - I have now switched it off. However, it doesn't even seem to import the data on the USB stick.
