Philips 40PFL6606K -- Can not delete channels

Open neumann63 opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

i have an issue with deleting the channels. Everytime I erase the the (satelite-)channels and want to save the changes, ChanSort asks me, what should happen with unsorted cannels. There are only two options abort or append to the end of list.

I do NOT want 4850 channels. I only want 60 channels. (Background: My father (87) is confused and only needs 60 channels. Everything else much too much for him.) I'm not able to hide or skip the 4790 channels too or reduce somewhere the number of channels.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for the help

Michael

Unfortunately ChanSort cannot delete channels from various Philips channel list formats.

Philips spreads and duplicates channel information across different files, some are readable, others are compressed in a non-standard way, so that they cannot be read or modified. All I can do is change the value of the logical program number in the readable file, but I can't remove any channel data records there because they must exactly match the channel records in the other files, which I can't read/edit. (The 1st record in file A must match the first record in file B, the 2nd in A the 2nd in B and so on)
