How to convert from LG TLL to Samsung

Open inframeedo opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

I want to copy channels from LG TV (*.TLL format) to Samsung TV (which uses different format, some files inside a *.zip file).

Is there a method to open the TLL file and save it as Samsung format?

There is no "Save as...", but something else that has the same effect. Make a full channel search on your Samsung TV, export the list and open it in ChanSort. ChanSort will ask you if you want to start with a blank list, the current list or if you want to copy the channel order from an existing list. Use the latter option and select your LG file as the reference.

Thank you PredatH0r for your reply.

The problem is not just the order, the problem is that there are some cable channels that were on the LG are not found when I do the full scan in the Samsung!!

So I want to export the channels from LG into Samsung, or may be to add the missing manually inside the list that I exported from the Samsung using ChanSort or any other program (there is not option in the Samsung TV to do fine cable search by a certain frequency).

If you get my problem may be you can suggest to me what to do

I understand. ChanSort does not support editing of any tuning parameters for many reasons and a "Save as" is also not possible. I haven't tried it myself, but maybe this here works for you: https://www.setedit.de/SetEdit.php?spr=2&Editor=163&device=Samsung

Personally I never experienced a case, when a TV was unable to find a channel. Important is to select neutral options (like "none" or "other") when asked for a cable service provider and then select "full" or "blind scan" and UNSELECT "network scan" when available (which would be faster but may miss channels).
