Renaming channel doesn't work
I have Panasonic P50GT30E and I can not use renaming function in your channel editor. Can you solve this issue? It doesn't work. As soon as possibile I will try to send you Polish translations.

A wrong guess when reading the list just causes some garbled characters in ChanSort's UI. But a wrong guess when writing data to the list may cause unpredictable side-effects on the TV. So I decided that it's safer to not update channel names in Panasonic lists. I should however also disable the editor in the UI so nobody wastes time trying to change the names. Also, even if I would enable editing, I don't know if the TV would update the name immediately again to whatever it receives via DVB.
In ChanSort 2020-12-26 now supports name editing for Panasonic lists if any of the names indicates that the TV supports UTF-8 encoding.
Can you send me your file please or attach it here (.bin and .bak)? What channel did you try to rename?
Thanks! Looks like in your file there is no indication about what code page / encoding the TV uses for channel names. But based on "BR Fernsehen Süd HD" I can see that it implicitly assumes UTF-8 to store the "ü" character. I'm adding some auto-detect code for that and will allow editing for this case too.
