Just FYI discussions on the SWT bug picked up and they put it to critical importance. Hopefully will make the next release.
The bug is marked as fixed, there hasn't been a new release though. The [project plan](http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project-plan.php?planurl=eclipse/development/plans/eclipse_project_plan_4_4.xml#release_milestones) suggests a new release by the end of June, e.g. the 4.4 release.
