Event deletion
Is your feature request related to a problem?
I'm sure this will have been raised and perhaps answered previously, but I wasn't able to find a recent discussion in other open or closed issues.
Posthog currently doesn't allow for the deletion of events. This is an issue for two reasons:
- Sometimes events are sent with errors, and it's impossible to clean up those errors from the Posthog instance which makes internal team documentation more difficult.
- More importantly, it means we are unable to delete user data in response to user requests, or if we find that sensitive information was sent with an event.
Describe the solution you'd like
The ability to delete individual events, or all events for a particular event name.
Describe alternatives you've considered
- Event versioning — partially resolves the first issue, but not the second.
- Creating a new project — wayyy too much overkill every time an event needs to be deleted.

This shouldn't be necessary for survey "deletion" really - in order to exclude a survey response we just need a new event that says it was deleted or modified, and then filter those from results.
