Only thing I'm not sure about is the title "open source software for engineers" just feels a bit too general, plus that could include desktop applications for coding etc., which this isn't about.

Happy for you to retitle however you think best. I can't immediately think of anything better and I think there's more value in something with a less-than-perfect title than an unpublished PR.
