Getting feedback on docs pages that could be improved

We have buttons at the end of every docs article that lets you rate the quality of the content:

This gives us a list of pages visitors think could be improved, but we should really be collecting qualitative feedback.

Proposal

  • After a visitor clicks "No" (should be relabeled to "Could be better"), show a text area and submit button
  • Capture the value of this field into PostHog when the submit button is clicked, tying this to the response and the page where the feedback was provided

This way, we should be able to read the feedback and address it. (I think we can technically do this?)

Yeah this should be totally doable I can tackle this, super valuable information to have.

Note: I spun up a saved insight for existing clicks on the "Could be better" button, cut by URL and sorted to most clicked. Not a ton of data, but a good place to start!
