The element works very well on Safari/iPhone however behavior is slightly lagging on Chrome/Android, when multiple checkboxes are visible below each other and quickly toggling the items, not every tap is registered properly.

Is there a way to work around this? The element in its current state is driving me crazy, sometime requiring 3 or 4 presses before the touch is registered. What's weird is that the ripple effect is triggered almost every time, what could cause the ripple effect to be registered and not the checked state?

I experienced this problem simply going through the Polymer tutorial - the user experience on touch devices is WOEFUL. How on EARTH can it be that this issue has been open for almost TWO YEARS?!?!?!

Wow, that's terrible. All the focus on PWA but mobile (touch) user experience is underexposed...
