As described in https://github.com/PolymerElements/paper-badge/pull/12 the badge renders before its final position is set.

We are also facing same issue. We have group of paper-icon-buttons which contains 2 buttons and badge is positoned on 2nd button from left. When this group renders the badge transitions from 1st to 2nd button giving animation effect. Else the badge gets fixed on 1st button. Expected behaviour: image

I'm also experiencing the issue described in #12. Is there a workaround?
