rawgit URL rewrite breaks custom github pages implementations.

Could we make the rawgit URL rewrite configurable on/off? I'm trying to place my documentation on github pages, and some of the elements are not hosted on my master branch, so this currently fails for me when the pages URL is rewritten to a rawgit URL.
