Extra feature: Play-along mode

The best thing would be if there was a play-along mode where you can play and the midi waits for you, just like in synthesia. I might eventually learn ruby to help you program this, but I don't have a lot of time and I'm more comfortable with Python (in which I wrote my own cli midi player)

Same here: I wanted to ask (and help, but I am also mainly a Python developer these days) if we could have a play-along mode, but also, a way to loop a section of a song to help streamlining practice sessions, scale the keyboard/UI to see more of the notes coming and display in each corner the notes/chords to be played (its representation on a music staff and/or its Syllabic/Alphabetical/German representation). I will have time over the next two weeks to both practice piano and start implementing some of these features, I think I will create the "looping over a section of a song" by shortening the song selected on the main menu. I will share my progress if I get anything done. I have no experience in midi files and music really, I do about computer graphics and UIs.

Any help is appreciated, in upcoming days I will have access to my midi keyboard again (coming home for Christmas :D ), so hopefully I will find some time to work on this. To be honest this is already implemented in some capacity, but the feature is behind compilation flag, and was never finished, I'm not even sure if it compiles anymore, so ideally I would just revive that part of a codebase and add some UI to enable it.

No promices tho.
