Inconsistent text background in instances page

Description of bug

Pressing the cat button will make the text background of the insttance names disappear.

There should be a standard behavior for this, either:

• always show the text bg, with cat toggled on or off.
• never show the text bg, with cat toggled on or off.

Steps to reproduce

• Press the cat buton.
• notice the text bg disapearing.

Suspected cause

Most probably it being legacy code from MultiMC doesn't help. I am referring to this specific file, which seems to have too much spaghetti to be sane.

This issue is unique
