Improve "Loader Mods" tab [multimc suggestion]

Open ZekeZDev opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Role

Having an instance with too many mods.

Suggestion

Improve "Loader Mods" tab

Benefit

being organized and being able to find the mod I am looking for in the loader mods tab easily, and seeing what mod I accidentally deleted/changed.

This suggestion is unique

  • [X] I have searched the issue tracker and did not find an issue describing my suggestion, especially not one that has been rejected.

You may use the editor below to elaborate further.

  1. Let us add visual mod categories to drag mods in, letting us choose the name (or have presets like: Libraries, Performance, QoL, etc) to make the section look cleaner and letting us find a mod easier.

  2. Make a seperate tab called "mod logs" which are accessible from a button in the loader mods menu, which will show the last activity on the tab (like which mod is added/deleted/disabled/enabled/etc.) to see the activity on that page. (I had a hard time finding which mod I accidentally deleted in my mods folder, which is shown below image and thats why I suggested this)

[Multimc Suggestion]: #4426 This is not my own suggestion

Hey, I just had a very similar idea :D

My idea is tags, not only "what this mod does" categories, but also stuff like mod's creator(s) and source (like in #1066). PolyMC could create some of them automatically when downloading a mod from Modrinth/CF, but custom tags would still be useful.

Some tags (you choose whichever you need) could be displayed in the mod list, so that you can know some info about the mod at a glance.
