Louisiana Adoption Deduction 2022 and Adoption Credit 2023
2022: Established a $5,000 adoption deduction for families who adopt children from foster care and a $5,000 adoption deduction for families who adopt a child under the age of one from a private agency. Both replace the $1,000 dependent deduction.
2023:
Cannot take the deduction and credit for the same child.
