Landing shuttles can disable AI cameras

Open BillyBangles opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Brief description of the issue

Sudden loss of control over AI cameras after... getting the AI Eye squished by a shuttle?

What you expected to happen

Having your AI view continue to work even if centered on a tile where a shuttle was about to land

What actually happened

View went black, wasn't restored until I deployed to shell and came back. After that, I was stuck in the core view and couldn't use any camera related verbs (track with cameras, jump to network, show camera list, none of 'em worked). Shell operation worked just fine.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Be AI
  2. Bring your camera to somewhere a shuttle lands (For me it was hangar one)
  3. Wait until a shuttle is about to land and center the view on one of the indicator circles
  4. Let the shuttle smush your AI Eye I guess.

Additional info:

  • Server Revision: Found using the "Show Server Revision" verb under the OOC tab.
  • Anything else you may wish to add I'm posting this bug report right after this happened, I'm not actually sure if what I think happened happened or something incredibly wacky and nebulous. BYOND really do be like that.
