is pluralkit considering being available on other platforms?

ive recently been using discord alternatives since im not very happy about their updates (especially the usernames), but that aside, will pluralkit be available on these alternatives? i know its open-sourced, but im not very good at codes and things like that. id really be grateful if this were possible.

At this point in time, no - we simply don't have the resources to be able to rewrite the entire bot to support any of the alternative platforms.

Further clarification: a very large portion of the bot code is Discord-specific, and porting it to another platform would effectively mean rewriting it entirely. It's open-source, so if someone else wants to do this, they're welcome to, but as it stands, it won't be us.

(Ideally, other platforms would just have PluralKit-like features built-in, and no one would need a bot at all, but here we are)

Depending on what alternatives you use, there's a chance that they're planning on/include support for something like pluralkit built in. All that I can comment on is that Revolt and Spacebar have it planned, and I've heard that it's actually easier to manage using multiple accounts on Matrix so long as you figure out the creation side of it
