Accessibility of new editor is poor.
The new editor appears to be a new WYSIWYG editor. I understand I can switch back to the much more accessible classic editor, but the new editor isn't quite screen reader friendly. For example,
NVDA is what I used when observing the below.
- The title and subtitle edit boxes don't appear to have a label associated with them. A screen reader won't know what either of those fields are, nor the post area edit field.
- Screen reader users can't review entered text. Using NVDA, a user can't review what they have written.
- Screen reader users can't add tags. Maybe I missed it, as an NVDA user, but I couldn't tell what tags have been added, if any were added at all.
Ironically, the Classic editor was far better, accessibility wise.
thank you very much for this feedback
the new editor is very experimental, and should probably not be recommended, nor should it be installed by default
so, while we definitely want to fixtthese issues, in the meantime, we should dissuade people from trying to use it, unless they want to give us feedback, or develop it further
could I know how can I enable the new editor as I use the re-built package
