Virtual Diagnostics
For equilibrium reconstruction we need to be able to simulate certain diagnostics. We can group them largely into a few categories:
- [ ] point measurements outside the plasma : These should be the easiest to do, basically just do a virtual casing integral + biot-savart to calculate B due to plasma current somewhere outside the plasma
- [ ] Point measurements inside the plasma : For eg, thomson scattering measurement of electron temperature/density. This is a bit trickier, since we'd need to map the real space (R,phi,Z) coordinates of the measurement to flux coordinates (rho, theta, zeta).
- [ ] Integral measurements : eg, net poloidal/toroidal flux, net current etc. These should also be fairly straightforward.
