Remote pinning services

Open zu1k opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

It is recommended to integrate a simple remote pinning service, such as Pinata.

It can effectively help users do the initial distribution of content, and users do not have to consistently open IPFS daemon.

Yes, it's in our plan to do so.

We added support for Filebase.com in 0.10:

Cool! Looking forward to adding more service provider support, or allowing users to enter the service provider api endpoint. Addressing can be optimized effectively if multiple pinning services can be used simultaneously.

@lightsing

If you click that Pinning button, it will open an URL in ipfs.filebase.io. If that URL is accessible, your content is already on the Filebase server. It took a bit of time to show as Pinned which is normal.
