Nexus 5, Resolutions

Please can you add 3200 x 1800 resolution for the nexus 5 so it uses the majority of the sensor while being in 16:9!

I agree! 16:9 is the future and my biggest problem with my Nexus 5 (aside from the battery) is the 4:3 full resolution and the lack of 16:9 option above 6 megapixels.

I know what your saying but I believe 3200 x 1800 is around 6 megapixels in 16:9 like the stock camera app offers. The sensor can only actually achieve 5.76 megapixels in 16:9 I was just wondering if you could add this resolution (3200 x 1800) to the video feature so I could achieve better quality than 1920 when filming in 16:9? Sorry for long explanation :D

The camera API on Nexus 5 doesn't support any 16:9 resolution output above 1920x1080, so you will have to record in maximum resolution and crop it in post.

Oh OK I see so i thought it was something you were able to change but you can't its locked by google??
