Outliner tree sometimes goes blank

Under certain circumstances the Outliner treeview goes blank. It might be related to a large number of refresh/redraw/paint calls. Possible way to reproduce:

  • Hold a key when renaming a material in the material editor
  • Move camera with 3DConnexion device.
