How this differences from the libratbag project?

How this differences from the libratbag project? I mean, AFAIK it supports Logitech HID devices widely.

I have not yet used libratbag, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those are the main differences:

  1. Logiops supports smooth scrolling
  2. It supports gestures, which libratbag does not if I see correctly
  3. It's not actively maintained anymore (8 months inactive now)

how can I ascertain options supported by my M500s mouse, with trial and error? it is detected as such, but says 'empty file'

libratbag already has a working profile for this mouse, another difference with logiops
