Critical damage when a tool breaks
Basically the Breath of the Wild mechanic. On the last point of durability, your tool does critical damage, and then breaks. This does a few things:
- It's cool
- Lets you break the block you were in progress of mining (instead of having to get another tool, then go mine it again.)
- Encourages you to use your tool until it breaks (for the satisfying critical damage)
- Makes the
single_usemodifier slightly more useful
How big would this critical damage be?
I imagine x2 or x1.5 damage or something?
IMO the crit multiplier should differ between players and monsters. Having a 2x multiplier against players will lead to a meta where PVP players run around with alot of almost-broken weapons, just to gain an edge over other players.
