Open LucBerge opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Name of app / service Booking.com

Link to developer documentation https://connect.booking.com/user_guide/site/en-US/

Is lack of support preventing you from building workflows, or do you have a workaround? No

Are there specific actions, or triggers, you'd like to see for this app? Please let us know here or use the Action and Trigger issue templates to open requests for each!

Trigger:

  • New booking

Thanks for the request! We've added this to our integrations backlog, and we'll update this ticket with progress.

This is blocked because currently Booking.com is not accepting new partnership through Connectivity API aka Booking is not onboarding new partners for now:

In an effort to ensure our teams are able to provide the strong partnership experience, we are pausing integrations with new connectivity providers until further notice. We will re-open the process for integrations once we are confident that we can fully support new partners.

In order to use Booking.com Connectivity App, when you look into the documentation API it says

Getting started

If you are a developer working with the Booking.com Connectivity APIs for the first time, we recommend starting with the tutorial for creating a test property.

In order to create a test property in Connectivity API one must create a machine account:

A machine account with the correct permissions. | To create a machine account, log in to the Connectivity Portal. To get the right permissions, speak to your account manager.

But you can't create a new account on the Connectivity Portal, Booking.com is not accepting new partnerships.

Conclusion: Integration with Booking.com Connectivity API is blocked until they are open for new partnerships.

@LucBerge as per the previous comment, Booking is not accepting new partnerships. If you have an account, are you open to share details for the sake of creating the integration?

Otherwise you can also try setting up the app here: https://pipedream.com/submit-an-app (this is an early alpha UI, so please let me know if you run into any issues).

Btw, I created I new issue for tracking component development, feel free to follow there . if you'd like https://github.com/PipedreamHQ/pipedream/issues/3997

Well, maybe it's more than just blocked...

What we expect from Connectivity Partners

To become Booking.com Connectivity Partners, companies must meet specific onboarding requirements. After you become a Connectivity Partner, we expect you to keep up with the continuous changes and improvements we make to the Booking.com Connectivity APIs. This ensures that all connected properties have access to the latest Booking.com features.

As a Booking.com Connectivity Partner, you should strive to:

  • support all available API functions;
  • work with your PMS partners to implement existing and new Booking.com functionalities in an end-user friendly way;
  • load at least a full year of rates and availability for each property;
  • provide your connected properties with an easy-to-use interface to manage their rooms and rates;
  • encourage your connected properties to visit the Booking.com Extranet to check Booking.com-specific details and verify information.
  • minimise the number of reservations falling back to e-mail.

I don't see how pipedream can implement existing and new Booking.com functionalities in an end-user friendly way
