New Image dialog background inconsistently black when using Ctrl+N
Description When creating a new image with Ctrl+N, the background of the New Image dialog is inconsistent — sometimes it’s the normal gray, other times it appears pitch black.
To Reproduce
- Open Pinta.
- Press Ctrl+N to open the New Image dialog.
- Observe the background color of the dialog — sometimes it shows the normal gray, sometimes pitch black.

This sounds very similar to #1476, if it's that black border around the dialog you're referring to?

I don't think so. In #1476, the background is around the whole window and shouldn't usually be there to begin with. Here, it appears to be the regular border just changing color. (Correct me if I'm wrong though)

Assuming you took the screenshot over a blank white canvas, that large black border around the dialog shouldn't be there at all. (e.g. my attached screenshot below, from macOS)
