After I download and installed the new boot.efi, it keeps rebooting

I have a MAC PRO 1,1 with OSX 10.6.8. After I download and installed the new boot.efi, it keeps rebooting. The Apple boot screen changed from white to black background. Please advise how to fix it. Thanks
