Slicer makes threesided tower

I downloaded the two .7z-files and unpacked to a directory on my windows 7 computer. When validating the installation I get this tower instead of a cogwheel.

Same (but with other numbers of layers) when I print from MeshMixer. What have I done wrong? I have Python 3.8 installed on the computer, if it might interfere, Please ask if I need to supply more info.
