I can confirm the issue with 3.12.4 and that downgrading to 3.12.3 resolves the issue. Could anyone test if the issue is still present in 3.12.5?

There is a PR https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/pull/5890 which will likely fix the problem you describe. The fix is part of the latest release https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/releases/tag/v3.9.1
