What version of Keepass2Android are you using? Please follow these steps to find your app version:

  1. Click the icon in the top right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click About
  4. Find the "Version" information and provide it here:

version =v1.13-r1 , i tried with "signed-ar64" and "signed" apks

when i first try to open a dropbox hosted file, it opens a webpage (firefox) for authorization, then i tap blue "authorize" button, then opens a page with some text, then returns KP2A app saying "authorization failed" yellow bottom banner .. i tried with dropbox full access and just kp2a folder

i dont have dropbox app installed, and i think i wont either for security and because i dont see the need to install a whole app just to access ONE SINGLE FILE

i tried with google drive before but kp2a forced me to have google drive app installed (#2637), i remove it because of privacy and to debloat my phone ... i suppose with dropbox it works different and it doesnt force me to have the app installed ... anyway surely these platforms have http apis anyway

I know that this used to work a few years ago. Since then, I haven't tested without the Dropbox app installed, but I can confirm what you observed. I need to find out what changed this.

If you care about privacy, maybe try pCloud instead?

hi, thanks for your response

if i install an app like keepass is precisely for access and privacy... for access i prefer to use a mainstream service by google, microsoft, amazon, apple, dropbox or any popular company with wide support that very unlikely will close the service... and for privacy i would like keepass to access directly install to install the fewer applications posible to minimize attack surface in case lost/hacked phone, and to debloat it

pCloud looks promising, but i'm afraid it does't look so popular and well supported like gdrive or dropbox.... i would like keepass would access gdrive, dropbox or other cloud sync without needing "3rd party" applicacions ;)
