App Crash upon start: XmlPullParserException

Problem has been reported before, and closed as "fixed", but doesn't seem to have been fixed. Sorry to say, the problem does not seem to have been fixed. I get the "org.xmlpull.v1.XmlPullParserException" crash with Keepass2Android 1.08d-r5 on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SDK 17, Rel 4.2.2) upon app start.

@DamienSN: disabling update in Play Store doesn't help.

Latest version 1.09d-r0 is not installable --> "A problem occurred parsing the packet" (Actual text my vary, tried to translate from german: "Beim Parsen des Pakets ist ein Problem aufgetreten")

Any chance to fix or work around this?
