@rauldipeas can you translate the error message after the thing with amazon?

The error message about amazon is safe to ignore. Boilr now only includes code for launchers that are actually supported on that OS. So for linux it does not include amazon anymore, but your configuration file still has a section about it.

@rauldipeas well... that does not tell me much 😞

There's other way to debug it?

@rauldipeas can you try to backup your config file, and then delete the original. you should be able to fine it in ~.config/boilr

@rauldipeas i just tried on my own laptop (Arch) and it has the same output as yours, but does not segfault. What happens if you run with backtace on?

RUST_BACKTRACE=1 boilr

Hmm, some kind of system dependency is being called but fails or is not installed. It does not say which one. Can you also try the full version: RUST_BACKTRACE=full boilr

The output log it's exactly the same.

I'm building my own deb package, maybe it's related? https://github.com/rauldipeas/apt-repository/blob/main/scripts/mkpkg/boilr.sh

That is neat that you are making a deb package!

But I don't know if it is related.

Do you have openssl installed? I wonder if that is still the problem.

PhilipK avatar Jan 03 '23 15:01 PhilipK

openssl is installed.
