Better quality to exported PDF's

Open guilmour-asc opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

I'd like to ask for some enhancement on quality to .spice presentations, when exported to PDF.

While in presentation in Spice-up, it shows up perfectly, without flaws. But exporting to PDF, the quality gets lowered (pretty much, I confess).

Well, that's my wish. Thanks for the attention. example.pdf

What's your screen's resolution? (Are you on a HiDPI screen?)

Currently, i just grab the "surface" on the screen and print that to a PDF file. You can get a larger "resolution" on the PDF by maximizing the Spice-Up window before exporting to PDF

Hello... sorry, I'm seeing the response right now, after months passed! Right now, I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 (because of better integration between Google/Dropbox and File Browser [job things...]).

As soon as I return to elementary OS, I'll track this down again. But for now, I can say that my screen is Low DPI, and I surely exported while the window was un-maximized.

I'm re-opening the issue because it is a bug :)

a way around this is unmaximising the window, and resizing until the window is large and wayy too huge to even fit the screen. Then, the "surface" on the screen is huge enough to give good PDF's, even for LoDPI users like me xD
