Windows SmartScreen or other Anti Malware issues

Open agentphantom opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

If you are unable to run the Windows executable file, this is because the app was signed with a self signed certificate.

If other anti malware software flags the executable as malware I strongly advice to not run it and instead install Python 3 on your computer, install the 2 dependencies and run it as a Python script.

If you didn't had any issues I would like to know your computer configuration, to build a knowledge base on which systems there are no issues.

Could we have a checksum so we can at least know that the executable is coming from the maintainers of this repository?

In case it does turn out at some point that there was something unsavory in the executable, we also have someone to hold accountable this way.
