perl emits errors and warnings out of order

perl often emits errors and warnings out of order, that is, a message about line 2 before a message about line 1. Just a random example with a syntax error and a warning​:

  % perl -wc   !=;   my $x; my $x;   "my" variable $x masks earlier declaration in same scope at - line 2.   syntax error at - line 1, near "!="   - had compilation errors.

This is pretty silly, and it gets annoying when the first error is the cause of all the rest (as is often the case with syntax errors). Especially in an IDE (such as vim) that takes you to the first error emitted.

Please don't close this. It's a valid bug report that relates to the fact that the compiler saves up fatal exceptions and emits them all at once, wheras warnings can be emitted immediately.

The continue after error logic has multplie bugs, and this is just one of them. Sig die is not reliably called, etc.

We should not close this ticket, we should fix the underlying bug.
