Bug: Stuck on installing... for ages. No overlays/updates install

I'm on Android 10/OneUI 2. The first time I installed the overlays they worked fine. My apps then updated and I had to update the overlays bit when I tried, instead of installing, the installing... animation stayed on screen for ages and nothing happened. I've tried everything, resetting the app, uninstalling it, deleting the magisk module etc etc and nothing changes
