Sound effect and/or "say_party" personal notification of bots appearing or are all gone
Been running it a long time (on silent) and that's the biggest gap for me.
A bot shows up quietly in a clean game and I don't know to tell the other team or am surprised when a votekick starts. Flip side, all bots have been kicked but we're still complaining.
Play distinct sound effects to indicate bots appearing (maybe different sounds for your vs. opposing team) and another sound when the game goes clean. Optionally/alternatively, use say_party to notify yourself of these conditions in green text (and notify your party if you have one) rather than the public chat notifications.
Currently the tool is developed from the perspective of having at least one other monitor that you can put the tool on to monitor. Improving the experience for people without a second monitor would be good.
This similar to the idea of using the built in windows toast system, #66. I think the concept of an in-game notification system is not only more elegant but also it would work better for cross-platform support. I do understand that there is notification system in most linux desktop environments but it would just be easier to not have to deal with notifications.
say_party seems to be a good and easy method of implementing this.
This is very similar to #66 and I think these issues should be merged since this falls under the broader concept of informing groups of players about whats happening. We currently inform the other team of what they have going on (and there are proposals to expand that, #203) and there is a proposal for informing your team what is going on (#189). I think this fits in as inform yourself as to what is going on.
Also might be worth investigating having a web UI that could be opened up in the steam overlay. Not sure how much work that will be though.
Here is an example of sound effects, via console commands:
play player/cyoa_pda_beep4.wav(cheater joins your team)play player/cyoa_pda_beep3.wav(cheater joins enemy team)play replay/rendercomplete.wav(optionally, all cheaters have left)
i like sound solution, you could even add custom sounds... i think? is that an option?
both sound and party message would work great together

I actually wanted to suggest this, too, but I didn't want to clutter up the main suggestion. I shift-tab to the steam overlay all the time and having a web UI there would be so much easier...but that is a whole thing, I know!
