License

I am considering using this code in a product, but no license seems to be mentioned anywhere, other that a copyright notice. Can you add one?

I'm facing the same issue. Without a license, it's unclear if the library can be used at all, how and at which terms and conditions :/

Sorry, no license info exists, and probably never will.

This is a very old library. I am not the original author, so I do not have authority to say which license applies. I only updated this code over the years as needed.

I am leaving this issue open, so others with similar question can find this "answer". Please understand unless you can find Peter Knight and ask him to answer here, no further answer will come.

I tried to dig into the original sources on google code archives at https://code.google.com/archive/p/tinkerit/ At the right of the page it says "Project Information: License: GNU Lesser GPL" and it links to GNU LGPL version 3. I tried to download the entire zip file of the project and it contains also the original dmxsimple sources along with other examples. My assumption is that the license of the project applies to all the files it contains, if not stated otherwise. I'll try to contact the author in some way just to be sure
