Dosen't open/find steam folder

Open tryoxiss opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Running it from the app launcher dosen't even open it (or opens and immeditely closes it, I can't tell), running it from the command line gets a little farther saying it can't find my games library, but thats it.

I am on Fedora 37 so I assumed instructions listed as "For fedora 32+" would work but they don't.

I'm guessing this is a bug so i'm putting it here.

Do you have Steam running in the background? Can you paste the exact error message you have here?

I'm guessing you have steam installed through Flatpak? I'm also having this issue

It's written in big, bold with a yellow warning sign in the readme's introduction that it only works with the traditional package managers. Unfortunately flatpak is not supported but contributions are welcome!

Yup, steam is installed as an RPM and not as a flatpak.

EDIT: When initally doing this I had it installed as a flatpak but read the instructions so I uninstalled that and reinstalled it as an RPM. Doing it again it... works? I don't know whats diffrent since I had it as an RPM before too...
