The recent big Path of Building 2.40 update had a major upgrade of our SimpleGraphic engine to version 2, which among other significant changes became 64-bit only. As such, it won't run anymore on 32-bit Windows, requiring at least Windows 7 SP1 x64.

My test machine while developing to ensure backwards compatibility was an Athlon X2 4400+ with a 8800GT, so it's been tested to still work on fairly old hardware assuming it can host a 64-bit OS.

I guess that this may be some sort of secondary computer you use to design and look at builds? If you only need to view a build, the online interface for pobb.in is fairly capable in illustrating what a build contains.

If you need full a Path of Building experience while playing the game, you probably have to run it on the machine where you play Path of Exile as that also requires 64-bit machines since 2021. The new runtime has a revised graphics engine and several improvements to make PoB run leaner next to PoE, and consumes next to no resources when minimized. If you're by chance playing on macOS or Linux, you should be able to run Path of Building under Wine.

Thanks for the quick and thorough reply, but unfortunately I'm playing Path of Exile on my PS5.
