Items in mechanical placers disappearing after leaving and rejoining world

Fabric 0.16.0 running Minecraft version 1.21 with Polyfactory 0.4.0-pre.5.1+1.21.

Whenever I log off the game and come back, all items that were inside of a mechanical placer have been deleted. This happens to my grass block farm and used to happen to my dirt farm.

In the grass block farm, I am using them to place dirt into the machine, and with the dirt farm, I have been using one to hoe coarse dirt to generate dirt.

In the grass block farm, all of the dirt that was in the placers gets deleted. I since modified the dirt farm so that when I turn the system off, the hoe is removed, so it no longer gets deleted, but still, quite an issue when I have to keep running my dirt farm to get more grass every time I log on.
