Ignore templates that are not towards the top of the article

Open nicolas-raoul opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

Many Wikipedia articles have a main topic, and sub-topic with one infobox for each sub-topic. Sub-topic infoboxes should be ignored, because their properties are not properties of the Wikidata item.

Example: This article is about a plane, but the infobox towards the middle of the article is only about the radar in it. While harvesting radars, I was in danger of setting the plane's weight to 771 kg!

Solution: Ignore any infobox which is not in the first ~10 lines of the article.

It should be considered that many useful templates are located at the end of an article, e.g. in the external links section.

I did not know! I always harvest infoboxes. Maybe an option? Such mistakes as setting the plane's weight to 771 kg makes the tool's use dangerous, or I would have to check the articles one-by-one.
