Create part from LCSC not working
Hello, I have been using the LCSC info provider, and it has suddenly stopped working. It is now showing the error mentioned below. Has LCSC closed direct access to this link, or is there an issue from my side? Is anyone else facing a similar problem?
In my tests it is working fine. Part-DB uses the normal website APIs of LCSC. Depending on which ip range your server is in, LCSC might block these requests. There can nothing be done about this, and its the right of LCSC to restrict access to its services.
@jbtronics Thank you very much for your quick update. Let me check with the LCSC team regarding this. We have installed Part-DB on our STRATO server, so it’s important for us to have access to this data.
I doubt that LCSC will be very helpful, as Part-DB just use web scraping from their website, and not the official API (as nobody got an API key for that)...
@harryb777 I don't think it's a Part-DB or LCSC problem; it's probably something local. It works fine for me too. And as described, it's probably not a good idea to bother LCSC with this, because they have nothing to do with it. It's not an API.
