DFF Bone Markers / Bones are very small in Blender

Open dreamsyntax opened this issue 5 months ago • 3 comments

Unlike the 3DSMax equivalent RWIO, the bone markers of DFF models imported with this addon are extremely small

Current outcome:

  • Bones are extremely small, zooming in excessively reveals the bones being fractions of the typical size.

Expected outcome:

  • Bones are visible and sized relative to the model (see importing model with other formats)
  • Bones are angled toward expected/relative rotations

The actual model data ends up working properly, this may just be a Blender helper/modifier that needs adjustment, I am not sure.

Attaching some additional photos from 3DSMax to demonstrate the expected bone appearance, when using SHADOW_BODY.DFF for example from Shadow the Hedgehog

Additionally, exporting the Blender DFF Import as FBX and re-importing reveals the rotations are not correct:

Expected result (3dsmax)

Thanks for feedback! How about a new import option to determine the bone's shape?
