`Shut Down` option not working on macOS for Ubuntu Server VM

Open BowTiedRadone opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Issue

I am encountering an issue with the Shut Down option of the Actions menu in Parallels Desktop while working on an Ubuntu Server virtual machine. Specifically, when attempting to shut down the VM using the "Shut Down" option from the Actions app menu, the VM does not respond and remains powered on. This behavior has been consistent and occurs every time I attempt to shut down the server using this method.

Environment

  • MacOS Version: Sonoma 14.5
  • Parallels Desktop Version: Parallels Desktop 19.4.1
  • Ubuntu Server Version: Ubuntu Server 24.04 LS
  • Hardware Info: MacBook Pro 2021, M1 chip

@BowTiedRadone Just to confirm, this is from the Parallels Desktop UI right?

@cjlapao yes, the UI one.

@BowTiedRadone that is not in the remit of this project, any UI or Parallels Desktop bug needs to be addressed with the Parallels Support team.

You can reach out to them using our forum on https://forum.parallels.com/
