Slimes stay attached when dying mid-animation

Issue Description
Slimes staying attached to a mob if they die mid-animation.
What did you expect to happen?
No response
What happened instead?
No response
Why is this bad/What are the consequences?
The slime continues to do damage, killing the mob without an apparent way to remove it.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Turn on a shower, stand in it and allow the slime to latch on at low health, slime should stay attached.
When did the problem start happening?
Unknown, just noticed it.
