Bitwarden tray icon theme not applied on Arch Linux with KDE Plasma 6.0.3 Wayland

  • Distribution (version): Arch Linux x86_64, Kernel: 6.8.5-arch1-1
  • Desktop environment: KDE Plasma 6.0.3 Wayland
  • Installing method: Installed from AUR using Chaotic AUR (sudo pacman -S papirus-icon-theme)
  • App name (version): Bitwarden (2024.4.0-1)

The Bitwarden tray icon does not receive the papirus icon theme and stays the same. All other applications do get their papirus icon theme.

Installed Bitwarden from the Arch Extra Repository (https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/bitwarden/)

I suspect the tray icon is hardcoded because there's no separate panel icons bundled with the application (i tested the Flathub version). We may need clarification from Bitwarden Linux app developers.

I don't know if it just affects the tray icon. I took a look at https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme/blob/master/Papirus/64x64/apps/bitwarden.svg and I'd say that at least the desktop icon for the application looks like the theme got applied.
